¿ Kultur?O-level ( Ordinary level) hieß, ist die erste Prüfung, die Schüler im Alter von 16 Jahren in England, Wales und Nordirland ablegen. Es ist möglich jeweils nur ein Fach zu wählen, aber die meisten Schüler versuchen die Prüfung in sieben oder acht Fächern abzulegen. In Schottland heißt die erste Prüfung Standard Grade. -

GCSE [‚dʒi:si:‚es'i:]School ( abbreviation General Certificate of Secondary Education) = premier examen de fin de scolarité en Grande-Bretagneⓘ GCSE Cet examen a remplacé les O levels, ou le GCE O level, et le CSE. On le passe après cinq ans de scolarité dans l'enseignement secondaire. Chaque élève choisit les matières dans lesquelles il veut se présenter (généralement entre cinq et dix) selon un système d'unités de valeur. Le nombre d'unités et les notes obtenues déterminent le passage dans la classe supérieure. Les élèves qui sont admis au GCSE peuvent ensuite préparer les A levels (l'équivalent du baccalauréat français). En Écosse, l'examen équivalent au GCSE s'appelle le "Standard Grade". -
